Since moving to Olathe, I’ve bloomed where I’ve been planted. I’ve been active in Scouts since 2005 when my son joined Pack 3288 (he earned Eagle Scout in 2017 with Troop 315), and then I “played for both teams” when my daughter joined Girl Scouts in 2009. Scouting got really interesting when my husband and I started a Scouts BSA troop linked to Troop 315 in February 2019. Now, I’m a mother of two Eagle Scouts!!
In 2016, I discovered the Olathe Junior Service League. Being a member of OJSL has been SO fulfilling! I adore the women I volunteer with and am honored to call them friends. I served as president in 2021, fittingly choosing “Bloom where you’re planted” as my theme.
Helping others to bloom has become my passion. I want others to feel as good as I do when I help in my community. Which led me to create the non-profit Grow Together, Olathe. A community for the community. The vision of the Grow Together Olathe initiative is meant to be a central resource for Olathe residents to find civic and community groups they can join to lead, serve, and support.
Together, we grow through sharing resources, talents, and volunteers!
