I’ve only been a Kansas resident since 2005 (was in Missouri since my birth). Moving to Olathe was kind of a God thing. God thing? A few years before we moved here, we drove from Liberty, MO to a church here in Olathe every Sunday. One day, our pastor mentioned that the house next to him was available as a rent-to-own. The two houses next to him also happened to be owned by members of the church … so it definitely looked like a sign from above to move to Olathe. And so, during the hottest month of the year, we moved to Olathe … and it was the best move ever (figuratively speaking, because moving in the heat of summer sucks!).
